PLEASE NOTE: The Visual Resources Collection was closed effective August 22, 2018. See the Connect page for further information.
The Visual Resources Collection circulates digital SLR and 35mm SLR cameras, tripods, light meters, and analog presentation equipment. Come by the VRC, Sutton 3.128, during business hours—Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm—or contact us by phone—512.471.0143—to check out equipment.
Equipment becomes the responsibility of the person to whom the equipment was checked out. The borrower will be held liable for any replacement costs associated with damage, loss, or theft of equipment. In addition, fines can be assessed if the equipment is not returned by its due date. Should a key be lost, all costs associated with re-keying a lock will be the responsibility of the borrower.
Faculty members who check out equipment for a student to use are responsible for the equipment. Equipment checked out by a teaching assistant—by proxy for a faculty member—is the responsibility of the faculty member as well.
The UTSOA Technology Lab Service Desk in Sutton 1.112 circulates digitally-based equipment such as laptop computers, LCD projectors, and digital video cameras. They may be reached at 512.471.1189 (hours vary according to the time of year).
