The School of Architecture Visual Resources Collection (VRC) manages a fully equipped Lighting Studio to support model photography. Equipment includes a Nikon D5300 DSLR camera, black and white backdrops, professional studio lights, model table, light table, ball head tripod, and a geared head tripod.
The facility is available on a walk-in basis or by appointment for School of Architecture students, faculty, and staff members. Reservations can be made up to a week in advance. To schedule a reservation, contact the VRC Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, at 512.471.0143, via e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org), or in person in Sutton 3.128.

Using the Lighting Studio:
- Reserve a time-slot. If the Lighting Studio is not already booked, it can be used upon arrival.
- Arrive promptly for your reservation with models in hand and a laptop to download the images from the camera. Your reservation is subject to forfeiture if you arrive 10 minutes after the start of the designated reservation time.
- Images should be downloaded from the VRC's DSLR camera during the final 10 minutes of the reserved time-slot.
- The Lighting Studio should be left clean and orderly.
