Support UTSOA by Sharing Your Input and Experiences in the 2019 DesignIntelligence Surveys
The annual DesignIntelligence survey of America’s Top Ranked Architecture & Design Schools is the most widely cited and influential program ranking in architecture education. It is a trusted resource for prospective students and professionals across the design disciplines.
Now through May 31, students, recent alumni, faculty, hiring managers and firms can support The University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture and help determine our rankings by participating in the DesignIntelligence surveys via the links below. Your input is invaluable.
At The University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture, we are committed to helping our students become dynamic leaders and agents of change. Together, our students and faculty are investigating the intersection of design, planning, preservation, and history to improve the quality of life for all.
Our community examines the important social and environmental implications of our decisions and takes responsibility to make positive change. Our programs are integrating sustainable strategies across the spectrum of the design disciplines.
Here at home, we serve as a knowledge partner for the City of Austin, helping to shape the future of our community and urban landscape. Across the United States, we are stepping up in the face of uncertainty to better understand resilience and expand the definition of equity. Beyond our borders, we are paving the way for new collaborations in Mexico and Latin America.
This year, we opened new classroom and review spaces that bring together cutting-edge technologies and traditional methodologies. We began transforming our Urban Design program thanks to a major gift from the school’s longest-serving faculty member and expanded our partnerships with the City of Austin through research on placemaking scenarios for the future of the Austin Convention District and the Mayor’s Institute on City Design. Faculty thought-leaders Katherine Lieberknecht and Junfeng Jiao led two of the University’s ongoing interdisciplinary grand challenges, working toward a more resilient Texas and a values-driven future for AI and autonomous technologies for the benefit of society at large.
We continue to make strides in providing a top-quality, affordable design education. The school’s expanding research agenda provides incomparable opportunities for students to be engaged in large-scale experiential projects. And our students and recent graduates are highly sought-after by the world’s leading design firms for internships, residencies, and full employment.
We know you are busy, and appreciate your time, interest, and involvement. It is your advocacy, feedback, and active participation that continue to propel the school forward.
