Advisors will not be available to visitors during the week of January 16-19, 2018, due to the demands of the beginning of the spring semester.
At an information session you will learn everything you need to know about what our school offers as well as detailed information about the application and admissions process. Most sessions include a tour of the School of Architecture facilities with a currently enrolled student, and you will have the opportunity to hear the questions that other prospective applicants and their families ask.
You may register for the School of Architecture Information Session and Tour along with the Prospective Freshman or Transfer Session and Tour at the Texas Admissions website.
The spring 2018 information sessions listed below include a tour of the school led by a current student unless otherwise specified:
- February 9th, 11:15am-12:30pm
- February 23rd, 2pm-3:15pm
- March 3rd, time TBD [no tour; offered as part of Explore UT; no registration required]
- March 9th, 11:15am-12:30pm
- March 16th, 2pm-3pm [no tour]
- March 23rd, 2pm-3:15pm

If you are unable to visit during one of the information sessions offered throughout the year, please contact our office to schedule an individual meeting with an advisor. We require one week's notice prior to your planned visit. Efforts will be made to provide a tour, but we cannot guarantee a tour for individual visits.
The School of Architecture is located in Goldsmith Hall (GOL), Sutton Hall (SUT), West Mall Building (WMB), and Battle Hall (BTL), near the corner of Guadalupe and 22nd Streets. Buildings are open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Visitors may want to download the UT app, which contains campus maps as well as a wealth of other information.
Metered street parking around the School is possibile, but is usually very difficult to find during the semester. The closest parking lot to the School is the privately-owned Dobie Mall Parking Garage on Whitis between 20th and 21st. There are also several surface parking lots on Whitis between MLK and 24th. These are all less than a 5-minute walk. The university also has several public parking garages and lots, but these are located farther from the School.
